Reports suggest that former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, could make a return to the Premier League in 2024. Currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has allegedly been presented with an offer to join Newcastle United, as stated in a report from El Nacional.

Ronaldo’s initial departure from Manchester United occurred in November 2022 when his contract was terminated due to disagreements with manager Erik ten Hag. Subsequently, he joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in January 2023, following the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In Saudi Arabia, the 38-year-old has been in top form, netting an impressive 24 goals in 24 appearances in the Saudi Pro League since his transfer. His outstanding performances in the league have attracted the attention of the club’s owners, who have extended an offer for his return to European football.

The proposal reportedly involves a move to English side Newcastle United, which shares ownership with Al-Nassr. Although Ronaldo hasn’t given an enthusiastic response to the idea so far, it is anticipated that he will consider it in the upcoming weeks.

Newcastle United is keen on enhancing their squad with the addition of high-profile players, especially after their significant investment in Sandro Tonali during the summer transfer window. Their convincing 4-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League has bolstered their confidence.
