The PSC’s promotions also encompass 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), who have advanced to the rank of Commissioners of Police, as well as 33 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) who have been elevated to the position of ACP.
The list of promotions further extends to 265 Superintendents of Police (SPs), who have earned promotions to the rank of CSPs, and 59 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) who have advanced to the rank of SPs.
The PSC has not overlooked the Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) and rectified the omission of 146 ASPs from the May 2022 promotion exercise. These 146 ASPs have now been rightfully elevated to the rank of DSP.
In addition, the specialists’ cadre within the police force also witnessed notable promotions. The Commission has approved the promotion of two ACPs, one from the Air Wing and the other from the Forensic Department, to the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP).
The promotions also include 47 CSPs, comprising 23 doctors and 24 Veterinary Doctors, who have been elevated to the rank of ACP.
These promotions signify a recognition of the dedication and hard work of these police officers and are expected to bolster the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nigerian Police Force.
