Johnson encouraged Chelsea to remain patient with Broja amidst rumors of a potential January move to Inter Milan.
Broja, who emerged from Chelsea’s youth academy, recently earned a spot in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI, taking over from the suspended Nicolas Jackson.
The Albanian international, who has returned from a lengthy injury, was given a starting position against Fulham and scored a goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory.

“I think he could potentially become a top player for Chelsea,” Johnson stated during an interview with Betfred.
“He’s got youth on his side, he’s a highly skilled player, and he maintains composure in front of goal, a vital trait for a top team’s striker.
“While he may not have reached his peak yet, he’s still young and certainly worth having as an option for Chelsea, which is preferable to them spending a significant amount on another player.”
