Jada Pinkett Smith reveals her marriage was due to family pressure

During a candid moment on her talk show, Red Table Talk, American actress and talk show host Jada Pinkett Smith disclosed that she had never intended to marry her husband, Will Smith.

The celebrity couple tied the knot in 1997 at the Cloisters Castle in Baltimore, Maryland. Pinkett revealed that her marriage was not her choice, emphasizing that it was her mother’s influence that pushed her into the marriage due to her pregnancy.

Pinkett shared, “I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so pissed. I was crying. I cried the whole wedding. I really didn’t want to get married. I was under so much pressure being a young actress and pregnant. I didn’t know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married. The wedding was horrible. I was three months pregnant at the wedding.”
