Cristiano Ronaldo leads the 2023 football rich list [Top 3]

Forbes has declared Portugal’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, as the world’s highest-earning footballer in 2023. Ronaldo, who currently represents Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, out-earned Lionel Messi and Neymar in the past year.

The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient also secures the title of the world’s highest-paid athlete across all sports. This 38-year-old football icon takes the top spot on the list with an anticipated total income of $260 million.

Ronaldo’s agreement with Al Nassri is reportedly valued at $200 million, and his endorsement deals contribute an estimated $60 million annually to his earnings.

In second place is his longstanding rival, Lionel Messi, with an expected total income of $135 million. Completing the top three is Brazil’s forward, Neymar, with $112 million in total earnings.
