U.S. Senator urges visa cancellation for foreign nationals supporting Hamas amid Israel-Hamas conflict

Amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, United States Senator Marco Rubio of Florida has called on the Biden administration to take swift action by canceling visas and deporting foreign nationals who express support for Hamas.

In response to protests by foreign nationals in the U.S. in support of the Hamas group, Senator Rubio, now serving his third term in Florida, expressed his concerns through his official social media account on Saturday.

Rubio urged the Biden administration to adhere to existing U.S. laws and regulations by canceling the visas of foreign nationals who openly back Hamas and to expedite their return to their respective home countries.

He stated, “I have requested that the Biden Administration strictly enforce our current laws by revoking visas and promptly deporting foreign nationals who endorse Hamas. Any foreign national participating in public demonstrations in our country, calling for ‘intifada’ or celebrating the harm inflicted on Israeli infants, should be subject to these actions.”
