Drawn into Group A alongside the host nation, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau, Eguavoen remains optimistic that the Super Eagles can outshine the other 23 participating teams.
“We have been longing to regain the Nations Cup; since 2013, we’ve not been able to achieve that feat. We know we have the capacity, we have the quality and everything to be able to win it,” Eguavoen stated in an interview with Brila FM on Tuesday morning.
He acknowledges that winning the AFCON is a challenging task, but Eguavoen believes that with determination, collective effort, and support from fans, the Super Eagles can rise to the occasion and clinch the coveted title.
