The Kwara State Police Command has officially confirmed the abduction of the wife and two children of a serving lawmaker in the State House of Assembly. The spokesperson for the command, Okasanmi Ajayi, has verified the incident, but at present, details remain scarce.

Ajayi assured that comprehensive information regarding the abduction will be made available at the appropriate time. The abduction took place at approximately 10:00 am at the family’s Shao residence in Moro Local Government, Kwara State. The perpetrators, armed with AK-47 rifles, carried out the abduction after a violent intrusion into their home, during which they fired shots indiscriminately before taking the three victims.
Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, the lawmaker whose family was abducted, serves as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing the Ipaye/Malete/Olooru Constituency in Moro Local Government at the State House of Assembly.
