This decision follows the intervention of APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, which led to the temporary suspension of the impeachment proceedings. The statement, issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Olatunji Oshati, emphasized the importance of withdrawing the court cases to allow for open discussions on potential settlement proposals.
The Assembly, which has been investigating 14 allegations of gross misconduct and abuse of office against Aiyedatiwa, stated its intent to follow constitutional procedures in the matter. It is hoped that these developments will pave the way for a resolution to the ongoing political dispute.
