Pep Guardiola identifies Roberto De Zerbi as potential successor at Manchester City

According to reports from the UK Telegraph, Pep Guardiola, the current manager of Manchester City, has hinted that Brighton’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi, could be his potential successor. The revelation came after a match between the two clubs at the Amex Stadium in May.

De Zerbi has made a notable impact on the Premier League since taking charge of Brighton, succeeding Graham Potter just over a year ago. Under his management, the Italian guided the Seagulls to a sixth-place finish, securing European football for the club for the first time in its history. Brighton is also earning a reputation as one of the most attractive teams in England’s topflight.

During the encounter between Manchester City and Brighton, Guardiola reportedly spoke to some of the Brighton players in the tunnel. He pointed in De Zerbi’s direction and mentioned, “that’s the next Man City manager.”
