Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has selected Major Adesagba Adekoya, a retired military officer, to serve as the chairman of the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).

The governor’s chief press secretary, Suleimon Olanrewaju, released a statement in Ibadan on Monday announcing the appointment. The appointment was formalized in a letter signed by the governor’s chief of staff, Segun Ogunwuyi.
Governor Makinde offered his congratulations to the new chairman of the state’s road traffic agency and urged him to carry out his duties with unwavering loyalty, dedication, and diligence.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Adekoya held the position of Operation and Service Manager at the Halogen Group, a private security organization. He has also served in various roles in the Nigerian Army, including as the Officer Commanding 31 Artillery Brigade Provost Company and Deputy Commandant at the Nigerian Army Corps of the Military Police Camp.
