The Adamawa State Executive Council has given its nod to a budget proposal of N225 billion for the fiscal year 2024 during its weekly meeting held on Wednesday.

The budget plan is divided into N135 billion for recurrent expenditure and N90 billion for capital expenditure, representing 60% and 40% of the total proposal, respectively.
The next step in the budget process will involve Governor Ahmadu Fintiri presenting the proposal to the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
In the same meeting, the council also approved an expenditure of N1.7 billion for the procurement of furniture for junior and senior secondary schools across the state.

The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Neido G. Kofulto, shared these details with the media after the meeting.
Furthermore, the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Umar Garba Pella, emphasized the government’s commitment to education and ensuring that schools are adequately equipped with furniture for students.
