Wike cautions Imams against political manipulation and ensures justice for all

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has delivered a stern warning to Islamic leaders, urging them not to be manipulated by desperate politicians seeking to destabilize Nigeria. During his meeting with the Committee of FCT Imams Initiative led by Dr. Tajudeen Adigun, Wike emphasized his commitment to delivering justice to all and vowed not to discriminate based on religion.

Wike expressed his determination to advance the Federal Capital Territory in accordance with President Bola Tinubu’s mandate. He stressed the need for collaboration with all relevant stakeholders and the creation of a conducive environment for the diverse population in the FCT.

Addressing the religious leaders, he cautioned them against being influenced by politicians who engage in divisive tactics, spread propaganda, and attempt to undermine national unity.

Wike declared that the era of political maneuvering is over and encouraged religious leaders not to support individuals who promote disinformation and work against peace. He emphasized the importance of peace for religious practice and the well-being of the nation.

He called on the religious leaders to pray for divine guidance and success for the president, as the fate of the country is interlinked with his performance. Wike emphasized that a peaceful and united Nigeria is essential for everyone’s well-being.
