Adeleke extends congratulations to Tinubu following Supreme Court victory

Governor Ademola Adeleke has conveyed his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu after the Supreme Court affirmed his election, emphasizing the need for unity in Nigeria.

The Supreme Court recently rejected the appeals of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and their presidential candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, challenging President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 poll. They sought to overturn the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo, Adeleke lauded the role of the judicial system in handling election disputes.

He expressed hope that the Supreme Court’s definitive ruling on the 2023 presidential election disputes would help focus efforts on addressing the numerous challenges facing Nigeria. He commended the opposition candidate for their part in strengthening the country’s electoral jurisprudence by pursuing their grievances through legal channels.

Adeleke concluded by extending his hopes for progress, unity, and prosperity under President Tinubu’s administration, reaffirming his commitment to collaborate in providing good governance to the people of Osun State.
