Minister Matawalle conveys condolences to Zamfara attack victims

The former Governor of Zamfara State, Hon Bello Muhammad Matawalle, who currently serves as the Minister of State for Defense, has expressed his condolences to the victims of the recent attacks in Maru and Kaura Namoda Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.

The attacks carried out by bandits resulted in multiple casualties and injuries in the affected areas.

In a statement issued by his media coordinator, Ibrahim Dosara, Minister Matawalle conveyed his deep sorrow upon learning about the tragic incidents. He also urged the communities in Zamfara State to promptly report any suspicious activities related to banditry to the security agencies.

He expressed sympathy and offered condolences on his behalf, his family, and political associates to the Maru and Kaura Namoda Emirates, local government councils, and the Zamfara State Government.

Matawalle emphasized, “We are profoundly disturbed by the mindless acts of banditry in the two local government areas and other parts of the state, which have led to extensive loss of life and destruction. No words are sufficient to condemn such acts.”

The former governor also extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected by the attacks.

He pledged his unwavering commitment and determination to implement comprehensive measures and policies to combat the threats and restore the state’s lost glory.

Matawalle described the attacks as “a horrifying affront to all of us, a threat to humanity and human values,” emphasizing the need to protect the values of human life and dignity.

His statement reflects a deep concern for the security and well-being of the people of Zamfara State, highlighting the urgency to address the challenges posed by banditry in the region.
