The esteemed inductees comprised the late Military Governor of the Old Western Region, Adekunle Fajuyi; the visionary founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola; renowned educationist, Professor Olufunke Egunjobi; and Elder Statesman, Chief Deji Fasuan.
During the inaugural induction ceremony held in Ado-Ekiti, Professor Joseph Oluwasanmi, the President of the Ekiti Council of Elders, commended Chief Wole Olanipekun for his remarkable contributions to community development and philanthropy, emphasizing his commitment to Ekiti State’s progress.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji, represented by Mrs. Peju Babafemi, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Development, lauded the Ekiti Council of Elders for recognizing the inductees’ outstanding contributions. He also commended the inductees for their varied services that have benefited Ekiti State, Nigeria, and humanity.
In response to the honor, Chief Wole Olanipekun, represented by the General Manager of New Cruse 92.7 FM, Ikere, encouraged the older generation to continue supporting Governor Oyebanji. Olanipekun emphasized the abundant human and capital resources in Ekiti and appealed to all indigenes and residents to avoid using these valuable assets as tools of division and disunity in the state.
