He expressed confidence in the appointed Principal Officers’ capabilities to effectively manage the university’s affairs.

Maiyaki emphasized that the verification exercise aligns with NUC’s mandate to ensure the university’s capacity meets global standards for program delivery.

“We are here to evaluate your capability statements, assess your level of preparedness, and confirm the quantity and quality of available resources and facilities. This is a crucial task that will enable the commencement of admissions,” he stated.

Dr. Wigwe, in his remarks, explained that the decision to establish Wigwe University is rooted in the need for a robust education system in Nigeria to foster national development.

“When we send our children abroad for education, we essentially export our talents, and they end up working abroad. The most enduring gift for the future is a strong education, which is essential to address the challenges facing our tertiary institutions,” he stressed.
