Today, the fate of Enugu State Governor, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, regarding allegations of certificate forgery brought against him by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), will be decided in the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The judgment will be delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo in a case initiated by the governor to challenge the allegations made by NYSC.
A notice of the judgment’s delivery, marked as FHC/ABJ/CS/1611/2023, indicates that the verdict will be issued shortly.

Governor Mbah initiated legal action against the NYSC and its Director, Corps Certification, Ibrahim Muhammad, before his inauguration on May 29. This was in response to the NYSC’s disclaimer, denying the issuance of a discharge certificate to him on January 6, 2003.
On May 15, Justice Ekwo issued a restraining order preventing the NYSC, Muhammad, and any of their agents from further engaging in such publications until the substantive matter is heard and decided.
