Omale revealed that comprehensive plans have been formulated to enhance the services provided by the state-owned Benue Links Transport Company, aiming to maintain its position as the primary transport company in the state.

He reported that 80% of the newly acquired buses for the company have already been delivered, with rigorous safety assessments conducted to ensure passenger safety.

The commissioner assured the people of Benue that all 23 local government areas in the state would benefit from the services provided by Benue Links buses. He also mentioned strategies to establish a continuous cycle of buses serving local government areas, thus mitigating the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the state’s residents.

Omale added, “We intend to make it in such a way that when one vehicle is leaving a local government area, another will be entering.”

Furthermore, he outlined plans to reclaim the North Bank and Wurukum Parks in Makurdi metropolis from illegal occupants and refurbish these areas to offer improved services to travelers.
