In a statement released by the Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, it was emphasized that these infractions directly violated the recently revised employee conditions of service, a revision that had the endorsement of the national leadership of the in-house labor unions, as well as the company’s management, led by Managing Director/CEO, Yusuf Usman Yahaya.
The statement clarified that the actions of the dismissed staff had adversely impacted the financial health of the company, necessitating the disciplinary action taken.
Moreover, the statement urged customers to be cautious and avoid engaging in any transactions with individuals involved in fraudulent activities aimed at shortchanging the company. Such actions, if unchecked, can hinder the company’s ability to fulfill its obligations within the electricity market.
