The governor made this announcement during the launch of the pensioners’ enrollment for OHIS at the Government Secretariat in Abeere. The executive secretary of OHIS, Rasak Akindele, stated that approximately 19,000 pensioners in Osun are earmarked for the program. Adeleke emphasized that the government aims to address the root cause of pensioners’ challenges by directly intervening in their health needs, as health issues constitute a significant portion of retirees’ concerns. He encouraged retirees to seize the opportunity for enrollment, assuring that all 19,000 pensioners in Osun would be included in the scheme.

Additionally, the governor affirmed that the recently announced N100 billion infrastructural development plan for the state would not negatively impact the welfare of civil servants and pensioners. The infrastructure plan includes projects such as flyovers, road reconstruction, rehabilitation of public schools, and healthcare facilities.

This report is developing, more details will be shared on the SkiwordNews Telegram Channel as soon as possible.
