The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has cautioned the public against believing and acting on social media messages promoting free registration of business names and companies. In a statement shared on its official X handle, the commission clarified that any message conveying such information did not originate from them.

“Please disregard any SMS or WhatsApp message asking you to enrol for free CAC registration, as it is not from us! Thank you,” stated CAC.
In a related development, the Registrar General of the commission, Hussaini Magaji, affirmed his commitment to addressing challenges faced by staff during his visit to the CAC Lagos office. This visit is part of Magaji’s ongoing interactions with staff to better understand their issues and provide prompt solutions where possible.
