Adesuyi, who represented IPAC on the committee established by the Osun State Government to distribute the palliatives received from the Federal Government, allegedly delivered only 35 out of the 50 bags of rice allocated to him. The remaining 15 bags were reportedly retained, prompting IPAC to initiate an investigation.

In a joint statement by the Chairman, Wale Adebayo, and Secretary, Tosin Odeyemi, IPAC announced the suspension, citing Adesuyi’s actions as undermining the integrity of the council. The six-month suspension aims to uphold accountability and transparency within the organization.

IPAC stated its intention to inform the national body of the suspension and notify relevant authorities, including the national secretariat of Adesuyi’s political party (Zenith Labour Party), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Nigerian Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).
