Alonso highlighted that Bayer Leverkusen would face the challenge of being without five key players during this period. The potential absence of Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella from Nigeria, as well as Moroccan forward Amine Adli, Burkina Faso centre-back Edmond Tapsoba, and Ivorian defender Odilon Kossounou, could impact the Bundesliga side.
Speaking about the situation, Alonso acknowledged the reality of the circumstances, stating, “It is a concern for January and February, perhaps not having five players. It is a reality. We have to accept that,” as conveyed to Transfermarkt.
