The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, conveyed the governor’s shock and sadness in a released statement. The governor highlighted the significant impact Samanja had on the nation through his acting prowess, particularly in the 1980s.
Samanja gained widespread recognition and love from millions of households for his role in the discontinued NTA drama series portraying the lives of soldiers in the barracks.
Born in 1942 into the Royal Pategi Family, Samanja served in the Nigerian Army and the old Northern Broadcasting Corporation, where he cultivated his talents as an actor, writer, and producer.
