FFK mocks Dino Melaye after resounding defeat in Kogi gubernatorial election

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, did not mince words as he mocked Senator Dino Melaye following Melaye’s performance in the recently concluded Kogi governorship election. FFK, in a post on his social media platform, declared that it’s politically over for the flamboyant politician.

In his post, Fani-Kayode highlighted Melaye’s vocal antics, boastful behavior, and controversial history. Despite Melaye’s past roles as a House of Reps member and a Senator, FFK pointed out the stark contrast in the outcome of the Kogi election.

Out of 751,000 votes cast, Melaye secured less than 47,000 votes, roughly 5% of the total. Furthermore, he landed in a distant third position, with some reports suggesting he might even be fourth.

FFK expressed his sympathy, noting how Melaye had once mocked others during political campaigns. He emphasized the political downfall of Melaye and suggested that the White Lion of Kogi, Usman Ododo, had fulfilled his promise to retire Melaye permanently from politics.

The post concluded with Fani-Kayode’s poignant remark: “How are the mighty fallen! It appears that the White Lion of Kogi made good his promise and has retired him from politics permanently. My heart goes out to him.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo, emerged as the winner of the November 11 poll with 446,237 votes, while Melaye secured 46,362 votes.
