Deadly clash between rival cults claims life in Delta community, four suspects arrested

The Delta State Police Command has taken four individuals into custody following a clash between two rival cult groups. The conflict, suspected to involve members of the Eiye Confraternity and Vikings, resulted in the tragic de@th of one person in the university town of Ozoro, located in the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests and the fatal incident that occurred on Monday night. The clash reportedly involved an extended shootout between the rival groups.

The intensity of the confrontation prompted the closure of all commercial activities in the area, as residents and businesses took precautionary measures to avoid potential looting amid the chaos.

A community leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, verified that one person lost their life in the clash, leaving the community in a state of unease.
