Barrister Ibrahim Tuktur El-Sudi, the state chairman of APC, claimed that the PDP had devised strategies to compromise the elections. He asserted that the ruling party intended to manipulate the exercise in its favor by leveraging the State Independent Electoral Commission and security operatives.
El-Sudi accused the PDP of being determined to secure victory through methods such as vote-buying and intimidation, involving officials of the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TSIEC) and security agencies.
Calling on APC supporters across the state to remain calm, he urged them to participate actively in the elections, voting massively for the party’s candidates at all levels.

In response to these allegations, the TSIEC chairman, Dr. Philip Duwe, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring a fair playing field for all candidates, regardless of their political affiliation.
The state police command, represented by spokesperson Abdullahi Usman, stated that the Commissioner had warned the police against engaging in activities that could disrupt the success of the election.
As of the report’s filing, voting materials had not yet been transported to various polling units in Jalingo, the state capital, and its surroundings.
This report is developing, more details will be shared on the SkiwordNews Telegram Channel as soon as possible.
