Comedian Buchi speaks out against denied access to his children

Nigerian comedian Buchi Ojieh has taken to social media to express his frustration over the alleged denial of access to his children by his estranged wife Rukky’s parents. Back in September, Buchi accused his former in-laws of “abducting” his kids, and in recent Instagram posts, he claims they are demanding money before allowing him to see his children.

In one of his posts, Buchi addresses Mr. and Mrs. Salami, stating, “You people have my kids… I know for sure that RCCG Nigeria will not allow such.” He urges anyone in the US to help him contact the church and calls on leaders to lead by example. In another post, he details the financial demands placed on him for access to his children and pleads for their return.

Buchi and Rukky, who got married in 2017 and share two children, have faced rumors of marriage troubles, including allegations of violence last year. As the comedian brings attention to his situation, it sparks a conversation about parental access and responsibilities.
