Ondo Police issues warning against disruptive political activities

The Ondo State Police has issued a stern warning to political elements planning to incite unrest by mobilizing youths for their personal interests in the state. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo State Command, SP. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, conveyed the caution in a statement released to the media in Akure on Tuesday.

Odunlami-Omisanya stated that the police are aware of reports indicating that certain individuals are scheming to disrupt the peace in the state. Intelligence reports suggest that these political elements aim to create chaos, causing embarrassment to the state for their own selfish gains.

The Police Command in the state has unequivocally cautioned these elements to reconsider their actions or face legal consequences. The PPRO emphasized the commitment to ensuring the safety of law-abiding citizens, particularly as the yuletide season approaches.
