Niger Tornadoes Chairman calls for improved performance ahead of Akwa United clash

Niger Tornadoes chairman, Ibrahim Dada, has issued a challenge to the players, urging them to elevate their performance levels as the club strives to climb the Nigeria Premier Football League table.

Currently occupying the 19th position, the Ikon Allah Boys face the need for improvement, having endured a winless streak in their last five games, with three losses and two draws.

Expressing concern, Dada emphasized the importance of the players tightening their belts before the situation escalates further. During a post-training session address on Wednesday, he conveyed a clear message to the team.

“Some teams promise high wages during negotiations and fail to deliver, but this is not the case with us. There is no reason not to give us your best. Niger Tornadoes is not a club that owes, as most of you can attest,” Dada affirmed.

He added, “Enough is enough; we will not sit idly by and watch things deteriorate further. We will not tolerate any lack of seriousness or disloyalty from any player.”

Niger Tornadoes is gearing up to host Akwa United in a crucial matchday 10 encounter at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna this weekend. The call for improved performance comes as the club aims to reverse its recent struggles and secure a positive outcome in the upcoming fixture.
