Jerome Akor emerges as a potential successor to Giroud

AC Milan, the Serie A powerhouse, is actively exploring the prospect of bringing in Montpellier’s rising star, Jerome Akor, in a strategic move to fill the shoes of the seasoned Olivier Giroud.

With Giroud, who celebrated his 37th birthday in September, entering the twilight of his career, AC Milan is strategically planning for the future, viewing Akor as the ideal long-term successor to the experienced French striker.

Among the other talents being considered by the Rossoneri are Ivory Coast international Serhou Guirassy and Canada’s Jonathan David, adding an element of competition to the selection process.

Akor’s journey to the limelight saw him make the switch from Norwegian club Lillestrom to Ligue 1’s Montpellier during the summer transfer window.
