Oba of Benin affirms divine ordination for Tinubu’s presidency, calls for unity in Nigeria

The Oba of Benin, Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, has expressed the belief that God has ordained Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria. The Oba made this statement during a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House, Marina. He urged Nigerians to embrace unity despite their differences.

During the visit, Oba Ewuare II emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, stating, “We must live together as one. Nigeria is big. We must iron out our differences and learn to live together as one, big family.” The monarch’s words highlight the need for unity in the country.

Governor Sanwo-Olu shared the visit on Twitter, expressing honor for the Oba of Benin’s presence. He mentioned that the visit reaffirms the commitment to cultural harmony and collaboration.

In addition to conveying the divine ordination belief, Oba Ewuare II urged Governor Sanwo-Olu to continue his efforts in the second term for the betterment of Lagos State.
