Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju has been officially appointed as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). The announcement came during her address to the men and officers of the NIS at a routine parade held on Wednesday.

Expressing her gratitude, Adepoju conveyed the confirmation news, stating, “You may also wish to know that through the grace of God and by the benevolence of the present government, I have been confirmed as the substantive Comptroller-general of Immigration.”
Having previously served as the most senior Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG), Adepoju assumed the role of acting CG after the expiration of her predecessor Isah Jere’s tenure on May 29, 2023. The official date for her decoration as the substantive Comptroller General will be announced in due course.
