Expressing their concerns on Thursday, the APC in the state raised alarm over alleged plans by the PDP to stage disruptive protests, intensify political tensions, and potentially cause chaos in the state.

Previously, the PDP accused the ruling party of grappling with its own internal issues.

Aliyu Bello, the APC’s state chairman, pointed fingers at the PDP, alleging that the opposition party was fostering ethnic and religious animosity through protests designed to create discord among Nasarawa State residents who have peacefully coexisted as citizens for an extended period.

Bello claimed that since Governor Sule was declared the winner of the March 18 election, the PDP has persistently exhibited divisive behaviors by mobilizing susceptible supporters to engage in public displays, including some appearing nude in the streets and at the party’s secretariat.

He stated, “The poor women recruited to engage in this shameful act have been paid and convinced that such equally primitive action has the spiritual powers to earn the party victory at the courts. So far, the gods or the deities and the spirits the PDP has been invoking have failed them, and will further fail them again at the Supreme Court.”
