Mr. Ola Olukoyede, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has called upon Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) nationwide to actively participate in the commission’s efforts to bring anti-corruption campaigns to the grassroots.

Speaking at a one-day engagement parley between the EFCC and CSOs from Kebbi, Zamfara, and Sokoto states, Olukoyede emphasized the importance of engaging with CSOs to establish synergy with various interest groups. He acknowledged that the success of the commission is closely tied to the support and partnership of CSOs.
“In view of the foregoing, I assure you that greater vigour and impetus will be added to this symbiotic relationship. The EFCC will also be relying on you now more than ever to help in galvanizing and sustaining goodwill between us and the public we serve,” he stated.
Olukoyede, represented by the Sokoto Zonal Commander, Assistant Commander Aliyu Yunusa, highlighted the significance of CSOs being closer to citizens to disseminate anti-corruption messages at the grassroots level. He encouraged constructive criticism and emphasized the EFCC’s commitment to combating corruption professionally.
