Breaking down the numbers, a notable portion of those promoted came from the Nigerian Correctional Service, with 4,498 individuals out of the 7,000 wardens who participated in the promotion examination witnessing elevation. Similarly, 4,598 Immigration officers out of 6,544 and 1,680 fire service personnel out of 1,698 who undertook the promotion examinations received well-deserved promotions.

However, the largest cohort of promotions emerged from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), where an impressive 21,385 out of 25,951 personnel who sat for the promotion examinations secured promotions. The minister highlighted the historic significance of this mass promotion, marking the first time such a substantial number of officers received promotions in the board’s history.

Minister Tunji-Ojo, while congratulating the beneficiaries, urged them to consider this promotion as a fresh chapter in their service journey. He emphasized the accompanying responsibilities, stating, “Promotions come with enormous responsibilities, and to whom much is given, much is expected.” This encouragement underscores the commitment expected from the promoted personnel in serving the nation diligently.
