NYSC Director General advises Batch ‘C’ stream two members on diligence and patience

Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has imparted valuable advice to members of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream Two at the Nasarawa State Orientation Camp in Magaji Dan Yamusa, Keffi. Emphasizing the importance of diligence and patience in achieving success, the DG urged corps members to steer clear of the “get-rich-quick” syndrome and avoid engaging in social vices that could adversely affect their future.

In his address, General Ahmed urged NYSC members to serve as exemplary ambassadors for their families, academic institutions, and the NYSC. Stressing the significance of maintaining good character throughout the service year, he advised members to seek permission from the NYSC if there is a need to travel. Additionally, the DG encouraged them to respect diverse opinions, forge positive friendships during camp, and uphold the cultural beliefs of their host communities upon completion of the camp program.

The NYSC Nasarawa State Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Jikamshi, apprised the Director General of the harmonious collaboration among 375 camp officials working towards achieving the objectives of the Orientation Course. He highlighted the active participation of all 2,139 registered corps members in various camp activities. The advice provided by the DG underscores the importance of instilling values of patience, diligence, and responsible behavior among NYSC members as they embark on their service year.
