Dino Melaye denies receiving N3 billion from Atiku and Dangote for Kogi gubernatorial election

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dino Melaye, has dismissed allegations of receiving N3 billion from Atiku Abubakar and Aliko Dangote for the Kogi elections. Speaking at a dinner organized in his honor by members of his campaign organization in Abuja, Melaye labeled these claims as the work of detractors attempting to undermine his campaign.

Melaye characterized the rumors suggesting he collected “N1 billion from Atiku and N2 billion from Dangote” as fake news propagated by betrayers. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among different zones to secure a governorship position and urged individuals from the west to heed the wisdom of their elders instead of being swayed by self-interested figures.

Reflecting on the recent election, Melaye acknowledged the need for unity among regions and cautioned against listening to commercialized characters who prioritize personal interests over the collective good. He shared the lesson learned from the election experience, particularly the importance of heeding the advice of elders to avoid challenges in the future.
