NDLEA thwarts drug-infused celebration, apprehends 26

In a significant operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully intervened in what initially appeared to be a wedding reception but was, in reality, an illicit drug gathering.

Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy, revealed in a statement on Sunday that the bust led to the apprehension of not only the groom but also 25 others. Babafemi urged the public to “say a prayer against the demon of drugs in the lives of our youths this Sunday,” emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

The statement disclosed that the large drug cartels faced substantial setbacks just hours prior to the arrests when authorities seized their cocaine shipments. This marked a significant blow to the illegal drug trade.

The arrested individuals, including the groom, are currently in custody as ongoing investigations aim to uncover the full extent of the operation and those involved.
