Labour Party urges Speaker to declare seats vacant and order fresh election amid Rivers crisis

Hilda Dokubo, the Rivers State LP Chairman, emphasized the need for a fresh election to fill the vacant seats, stating that the defection is considered unconstitutional. Dokubo is firm in her demand for the immediate declaration of the seats as vacant, stressing the importance of upholding the principles of representation and electoral integrity. The LP views a fresh election as crucial for allowing the people to elect their genuine representatives.
