Acting Governor Aiyedatiwa urges prayers for Akeredolu’s recovery

In a state broadcast on Thursday following the assumption of office as Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa called upon the residents of the state to keep Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in their thoughts and prayers as he battles health challenges.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who officially took over the reins of power as Akeredolu proceeded on medical leave, urged the people to foster unity and work towards restoring accelerated progress in the state. He emphasized the need for collective prayers for the swift recovery and restoration of good health to Governor Akeredolu.

During the broadcast, Acting Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of embracing peace and unity, emphasizing that such cohesion is vital for the development of the South-western state. He called for a collective effort to overcome distractions, encouraging the people to stand together, undivided in purpose.

Aiyedatiwa stated, “We must come back stronger and more determined to advance the welfare and security of our people, being the primary object of government as encapsulated in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended. Let us build a shared future from a divided past. We owe no less to the good people of the Sunshine State.” This call for unity and collective action reflects the commitment to overcoming challenges and steering Ondo State toward a prosperous future.
