Enuosi, whose address remains unknown, entered a plea of not guilty to the three-count charges of felony, fraud, and stealing brought against him.

According to the police prosecutor, ASP Clement Okuoimose, the accused committed the alleged crime on February 2 in the Ibereko community in Badagry, Lagos State. Enuosi stands accused of conspiring to commit a felony by deceitfully obtaining N650,000 from Mrs. Christiana Akinyele, the complainant, for the purported sale of a plot of land—a transaction he reportedly failed to fulfill.

Okuoimose explained, “The defendant fraudulently converted the money to his own use without the consent of the complainant.”

The charges leveled against Enuosi contravene Sections 411, 314, and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State (2015).

In response to the case, Chief Magistrate Mr. Fadahunsi Adefioye granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000, requiring two sureties in like sum to guarantee the bail. This legal development marks a step forward in the proceedings related to the alleged land fraud in Lagos.
