In an interview on Friday in Ibadan, Olaniran commended President Bola Tinubu for responding to ASUU’s request to exempt university workers from the IPPIS salary payment platform. While acknowledging this positive step, he emphasized the need for the government to address other challenges facing the nation’s universities.
Olaniran urged the negotiation committee, chaired by Nimi Briggs, to continue working towards resolving outstanding issues and restoring the stability of the country’s universities.
