I prefer dating older women – Singer Chike

Nigerian artist Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, widely recognized as Chike, openly shares his inclination towards romantic involvement with older women. In a recent Unpack Podcast episode hosted by NAY, the ‘Running To You’ singer explained that his choice stems from a belief that women tend to communicate more effectively as they mature.

According to the 30-year-old artist, the ability to engage in meaningful communication becomes more prevalent in women who are “slightly advanced in age.” Chike expressed skepticism about relationships with younger individuals, emphasizing the challenge of finding genuine connections amidst the distractions of social media and image-focused pursuits.

Chike reflected, “Imagine I’m involved with a 23-year-old; what depth of understanding and communication can she bring? It’s more about taking pictures for Instagram than unpacking meaningful aspects of life.”

Acknowledging exceptions where younger women display exceptional maturity, Chike maintained that such cases are rare. He argued that older women often offer a more profound level of maturity and understanding, contributing to a sense of tranquility in relationships.

In sharing personal experiences, Chike disclosed that his last two relationships involved women older than himself, highlighting a preference for the emotional and intellectual compatibility found in more seasoned individuals. He affirmed, “When seeking a certain level of peace, it’s typically older women who can provide that.”
