Dele Momodu advocates discipline for Wike, criticizes PDP leadership

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on the party’s leadership to take disciplinary action against Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Momodu expressed his desire to have sanctioned Wike earlier if he had the authority. This statement follows the PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, pledging to sanction Wike for actions perceived as working against the party. Wike had previously supported President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, during the February 25 election. Momodu, speaking on Arise Television, emphasized that the PDP cannot tolerate Wike’s actions and should put an end to his disruptive behavior. Momodu stated, “If I had the power, I would have punished Wike long ago,” stressing that Wike seems to want to enjoy the benefits of the party while causing trouble within its ranks.
