Ian Wright criticizes Arsenal duo after 1-1 stalemate against Liverpool

After Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool, former striker Ian Wright didn’t mince words as he singled out two players for criticism within the current squad. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus faced the brunt of Wright’s analysis for what he perceived as insufficient contributions during the match.

Despite an early lead provided by Gabriel Magalhaes, Mohamed Salah’s equalizer ensured a shared outcome for both teams. Wright specifically pointed to Zinchenko’s defensive lapse that allowed Salah to cut inside and score past David Raya.

“You cannot give Salah that time, you cannot give Trent that time. Someone should have been closer to Trent. Once that ball goes over to Salah, someone should have been across to make sure he cannot cut inside. That’s why we have drawn that game. We could not stop that happening,” emphasized Wright during his analysis on Premier League Productions.
