The Zamfara State Government has revealed plans to invest N7.2 billion in completing the iconic Gusau Investment House project. Abdurrahman Tumbido, the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, unveiled this commitment during a recent interaction with journalists in Gusau after presenting the 2024 appropriation for his ministry at the State House of Assembly.

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara had earlier presented a comprehensive N423.5 billion Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year. The 10-storey Gusau Investment House, initiated during the tenure of former Governor Mahmud Shinkafi, has remained unfinished until now.

Commissioner Tumbido highlighted that the project is slated for implementation in the 2024 budget. He further outlined a comprehensive plan for various development initiatives totaling N17 billion under the ministry’s umbrella. Notable among these proposals are the completion of the Gusau hotel project, the reconstruction of Gusau old market, and the modernization of Gusau Central market, signaling a robust push for economic and infrastructural development in the state.
