O’Hara slams Chelsea as season’s biggest flop

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, has singled out Chelsea as the major letdown of the season, expressing his discontent with their performance since Todd Boehly assumed control at Stamford Bridge.

Last season, Chelsea finished in the 12th position under Graham Potter and interim manager Frank Lampard. Following Boehly’s takeover, Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as the permanent manager to guide the team.

However, Pochettino’s squad currently sits in the 10th spot in the Premier League table after playing 19 games this season.

O’Hara voiced his disappointment with Chelsea’s overall performance under Boehly’s leadership, emphasizing the substantial investment made in the team.

“I’m gonna go for a whole football club, and I’m gonna go for Chelsea,” O’Hara expressed on talkSPORT. “Chelsea have been the flop of the year. It is not bitterness at all; it is a fact.”

“They have gone and spent a billion pounds, brought in 30 players, and they are absolutely abysmal. Todd Boehly’s come in and made a complete mess of it. Graham Potter and his whole backroom staff were brought in and had to pay them a fortune to go. Then he’s had Frank Lampard come in, an absolute disaster.”
