Ondo PDP Chairman suspended over alleged anti-party actions

The State Working Committee (SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has taken the decision to suspend the Chairman, Fatai Adams, citing alleged anti-party activities and the perceived infiltration of the party by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

A letter of suspension, approved and signed by nine SWC members, including prominent figures like Tola Alabere, Oluseye Olujim, and Kennedy Peretei, highlighted concerns about Adams’ actions potentially damaging the PDP’s reputation in the state.

The statement mentioned that the decision aligns with the provisions of the party’s constitution and aims to address actions that could tarnish the image of the PDP. The suspended chairman has been given a one-week deadline to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee and defend himself against the allegations.
